Goodbye 2005
Oh dear this is a sad moment when one is sitting at home at 10.30pm on New Years Eve and has decided to do a 2nd update for the day! But hey at least I am going to wake up tomorrow with no regrets and feeling wonderful unlike many others throughout the world who will be waking with hangovers etc!
I wanted to take a moment and reflect on 2005 and what it has meant to me:
1) I have had 2 miscarriages - March and August
2) I lost a nephew at 21 weeks - RIP Sam!
3) One of my best friends daughter passed away in June - RIP Hannah Lou! We miss you and your cheeky smile heaps!
4) Another one of my best friends has been diagnosed with both bowel and liver cancer.
5) I have changed jobs after a lot of discussion and soul searching.
6) I have been a gym "bunny" for just over a year now and still enjoying it.
7) I am 9.9 kilos lighter than I was this time last year.
8) I am now an 80's chick!
9) I have lost a total of 40.3 kilos so far!
10) I am now wearing size 18/20 clothes compared to 26/28 when I started my journey.
Okay I haven't gotten as far as I would liked to have but considering the first 4 things in my list for 2005 I am grateful that I have managed to lose 9.9 kilos and not have gained that plus more! There have been many a hurdle this year - times when I felt like saying "stuff everything" but no I have just kept on plodding on and for that I say THANK YOU TO YOU ALL!!! Without you lovely readers and supporters I know I would have given up in 2005! With your love, friendship, support, encouragement, guidance, knowledge and paitence I have continued on with this journey and seen the year through!
It is no secret that I really want to be a mum and am really hoping and praying that I will acheive that goal in 2006 but for whatever reason if that is not to be, then I would love to say that I would like to be another 20 kilos down by this time 2006! Okay we have no idea what hurdles and surprises that 2006 is going to throw to us but we just need to face each day as it comes and live life to the fullest!
Oh before I go, I will share with ya that this is how bored I was tonight - New Years Eve and I was bored - so about 9.15pm I threw on my walking clothes and hit the pavements and did my 5km walk! And as it was getting dark on the way back I even did a fair bit of jogging too!!! And I made it back home in just over 35 mins so am really impressed with the time that I did!
Right its now 10.43pm and I am starting to get sleepy... so I think I will hit the sack now! Nothing happening around here to keep me up until midnight! LOL So on that note HAPPY NEW YEAR to you all! I love you all! You gals all rock and never forget that!
Love Karen

Just couldn't do it...
Morning everyone on this last day of 2005,
I woke this morning and initally decided to have a day of rest so to speak or at least a lay in anyway but I just lay there getting more and more restless so up I got and as I was dressing I was tossing up between a bike ride or a walk.... decided on a bike ride and that I was GONNA do the 5km trip to the bus depot and back again but I just couldn't do it! In fact I didn't even make the Fire Station, in fact I didn't even make it was far as I did on my first trip out on the bike... I was struggling so much both in the thighs and in the bottom so turned around and came back home so think I did about 2.5kms and was knackered which is not good at all! And to top that off, as I was coming down the driveway between the fence and the car I got the wobbles and thought Steph would kill me if I hit the car so went towards the fence instead and have grazed down the side of my arm as I scraped along the fence! Doesn't look a lot but it sure is sore! Instead of getting shitty and angry with myself and getting in the shower I should have just put the bike away and gone for a walk but no I just sat there and bet myself up for failing today and being useless!! I know I know that is not true and Steph told me off for doing that but at the time thats exactly how I was feeling! Oh Helena - I really don't know if I will make the bike ride on Monday but will give you a call either today or tomorrow (but not too early) to have a chat.
So that was the start of my day - not a lot really! :( Since then, I have showered, breakfast, done a couple loads of washing, done the bathroom while Steph vacumed one handed (he does it so well LOL). We are off to do the groceries shortly but as far as plans go we have sweet bugger all planned for this evening so in all honesty I think we may end up having a quiet one at home and I will be lucky if I see the New Year in - yeah yeah I know I am a boring ole fart at times! LOL
Tomorrow we are going to collect Jude from her parents in Foxton and will stay for lunch up there and knowing her mum we will probably have a 3 course meal! LOL Oh so much but oh so yummy!
Monday, we are probably going to Lake Ferry with Steph's family for a day out fishing... so that should be pretty cool if it goes ahead - will depend on the weather and tides.
Tuesday - not sure at this stage and then Wednesday it is back to work... bugger!
Oh feeling rather blah at the moment too as I think TOM is lurking just around the corner. Am secretly hoping that I could be pregnant as that would be a wonderful way to start the New Year but will wait and see - the earliest I will test is Tuesday... but will keep ya all posted.
Right I am outta here - time to do the groceries. Thanks for listening to me have a moan and bitch. Catch ya all later.

No cycling today
Hi all
Well despite being very proud of myself last night after those 2 bike rides (thanks for all the support and comments too) I woke this morning with a very sore tushi, bottom, butt, arse, buttocks... whatever you want to call it! LMAO In fact it is now just gone 9.30pm and I think I am just coming right now in that area! LOL So there has been no bike riding for me today... though I did manage a 5km walk this evening which I really did enjoy despite feeling it in my butt each step I took! LOL Have worked a 10km route that I can do to "train" if I decide to go ahead and register for the duathalon - it certainly is doable in my brain but whether I can do it physically is another story altogether! But I think the important thing first is to decide if I am going to take this bike riding seriously and if so then I will get one for my birthday (in a few weeks time) along with a helmet (currently wearing Stephs one) and a proper seat etc... as I don't know if I could manage 10kms on the current seat I use on Caitlin's bike! But will do some thinking on that and will keep ya all posted.
So today has been a pretty quiet day all up really - had a wee sleep in and then after breakfast I took off to Westfield (Queensgate) to get an engagement present for my best friend in Invercargill who got engaged on Christmas Day (3 days after having a baby boy). Wanted to get her something real special as she is a wonderful friend (whom I miss heaps) but I just kept thinking that if I get anything to fragile it would end up getting broken in Transit so in the end I got them coasters and placemats - boring and practical I know but very sensible for posting! Whilst down at Westfield I checked out K&K as Helena had mentioned that they had a sale on - tried on 1 skirt which was 1/2 price and it fitted perfectly but the style just didn't suit me at all! BUGGER! Also tried on a couple pairs of jeans at Farmers - one pair fitted nicely (after getting a few inches taken off the hem of course) but the pattern on them just wasn't me as I just want plain jeans - not those fancy ones with sequins and fancy ties etc! Home again, had lunch, then popped up to the local Post Shop to post the presents away (also had a birth present for her wee boy Jake), then home to lay down as once again I had another headache!!! GRRRR I am starting to get annoyed with these headaches at the moment though at least I am not working so am able to take something for them and just lay down but still it is very frustrating! Went and met a friend at the local cafe/bar for a catch up at 4.30pm and it was all girl talk about pregnancies etc as she has recently found out she is pregnant and I am so excited for her and her partner.
Home from that and then we ended up getting fish and chips for tea from the shop in Silverstream - man they do amazing crumbed fish there!!! It is mouthwatering and so delcious!
After tea, I did my walk, watered the garden, had a relaxing shower, talked to Mum and now here I am... think I may head to bed soon as I am pretty shattered.
Oh yeah my weight on the scales seems to be going in the wrong direction at the moment which is a bummer. Okay my food hasn't been the best but I am really trying to control it and to keep things in line with exercise. Oh well I have until the 12th Jan before Barbara is back from holiday so still got just under 2 weeks to get it moving in the right direction.
Catch ya all later.

Thursday
Hi all
Boy I am shattered! LOL I got up at 7.00am this morning and did a 4km bike ride and then after all the bits and pieces we did through out the day I have just gotten home from doing a 5.4km bike ride!!! Wooohooo I managed to do 5kms!!! Okay one point to remember though Karen and that is if I want to complete in this duathalon in April (?) I need to be able to bike 10kms - hmmmm bit of a mission since I am buggered after 5.4kms but who knows perhaps I will be able to do it one day.... this evenings ride took me 25 mins so am ok with that but I forgot that the road that I cycyled along was an 80km area so there are obviously those speedsters out there who do 90/100km per hour so that was a bit freaky at times but I survived.
I saw in one of our local papers this morning that there is a place that offers Confidence courses for adults who are returning to biking so might drop them an email and see when they are going to be held and the cost as it could be just the thing I need!
So yes back to today - started the day well with the first bike ride up to the fire station and back, ahowered and did contemplate going back to bed but was wide awake by then so had breakfast and mucked around etc till Steph got up. My main mission for today was to transfer Charlie to the little spare cage we have borrowed off Steph's brother so I could then scrub his big one with soapy hot water. Once he was in the little cage it took a while for him to calm down but getting him out of it was a different story as it was a bit more tricky but eventually I managed to do it. So now he has a shiny clean cage and hopefully he appreciates it! LOL
We took off to Westfield and had lunch down there - had a potato top pie (instead of the chicken and chips I was initally gonna have) but have felt funny all afternoon so not sure if that is the cause of it or not. After wandering around the shops for a while I felt a headache coming on so we came back home and I had a lay down whilst Steph popped up to see his mum (as his Dad is working these three days) and to pick up some bits from their place.
Had the usual tea of ham, new potatoes and salad... hmmm ok getting tired of that meal now! LOL As we have a rolled ham, I might cut some of it up into steak size pieces and freeze it so we can then have ham steaks at a later date.
So yes, after tea I was bored and restless so was tossing up between going for a walk or going for another bike ride... I must admit after about 2 mins of biking I thought "oh oh I have made the wrong choice here" but just kept on pedalling and I was starting to struggle as I got to the Silversream rail bridge but the ride back home was easier - not sure why that is exactly but it was.
Anyway, have had another shower and am now sitting here in my nightie and contemplating going to bed soon to have an early night.
We were supposed to be going to Foxton tomorrow to pick up Jude from her parents place (and have lunch with them etc) but she has not been managing too well with this round of chemo so on the district nurses advice she is now staying there until at least Sunday now so at this stage we will now be heading up there on Sunday instead.
Right time I was outta here - hope those of you who are having a break at this time are enjoying yourselves and the time with family and friends. For those of you working - bugger but am sure you will be getting your well deserved break real soon.

Wednesday
Hi all
Well I can certainly get used to these nice long breaks! Just wish we had them more often! LOL Still one week to go until I am back at work though the majority of people I know don't go back to work until the 9th so that would be even beter but unfortunately I can't do that as for some strange reason people want to get paid.... funny that! LOL
Well what have I been up to over the last couple of days - not a hella of a lot really! Yesterday was quite a quiet day overall. Had a wee sleep in and then after breakfast and doing some washing we headed up to Steph's parents place to have lunch with them and to pick up our new outdoor furniture set that all of his family had chipped in to buy us for Christmas (along with some outdoor lanterns, a cintronella candle and a lovely casserole dish). So once home, we got the table and chairs out of the box thinking that there would be some assembly required but nope none whatsoever! YIPPEE!!! The table and chairs are all folding ones which makes it some much easier if we want to move them off the deck or take them anywhere with us! Will take a photo of them tomorow and will try to post a picture of it when I can. So after all of that excitement, we had a very quiet afternoon, my mum popped in on her way home from Masterton to drop off the camera etc that we had left in Masterton the day before. And then it was a quiet evening as well - just blobbing out and reading etc...
Today, I woke at 6.30 and contemplated getting up to do either a walk or a bike ride and then promoptly fell back to sleep! Woke again about 7.45 so jumped out of bed all keen to do a ride and then had some issues with the bike (which have now been sorted) so left the bike in the garage and just did a walk instead so I did my usual boring 5km route and boy it sure was hot at that early stage of the day! Home, showered, breakfast, more washing, then off to meet Helena for a coffee at a local cafe to catch up with her and then we did a brief stop at Ballentynes in Upper Hutt but neither of us purchased anything! SHOCK HORROR!!! LOL
Home, organised some lunch and sat outside reading my book for a while before heading to bed for a wee lay down as I was feeling rather shattered and could feel a headache coming on... so had a wee snooze for an hour or so before getting a phone call from Steph's "baby" sister who is house sitting for another sister of his to say she was home and that we could go around for a swim in the pool! So off we went and although I was the only one that got in the pool (as Steph still has the splint on his hand) it was nice and refreshing. Home, organised dinner and now here I am....
Have organised with Helena that we will do a bike ride together on either Monday or Tuesday morning so think I may have to get some practice in for that so all going well I will get up earlier tomorrow and head off on the bike but no promises - just all good intentions at this stage! Lets see how I am feeling in the morning!
Right time I was geting moving as I have a couple of calls I want to make... catch ya all later.

Boxing Day
Hi everyone
I hope you all had a wonderful and merry Christmas with your families, friends and loved ones! We had a lovely day starting with a yummy cooked breakfast of bacon, eggs and toast (cooked by me) and as much as we both enjoyed it there is no way we could eat that sort of breakfast too often - special days are often enough for us :) After that, the two of us opened our presents from each other and we were both spoilt. My gifts included a lingere voucher, an electric toothbrush, a couple of CD's and some other bits and pieces. Steph's gifts included a new fancy fan dangle drill he wanted, tshirts, DVD's and a couple of other bits and pieces. After we had done that and spent some time thinking of our two angels that we have lost this year - oh by the way Kate, in regards to your wee comment on my last post - yes we had bought two lovely angel teddy bear glass ornaments that are sitting beside the christmas tree - one for each of our angels :) I think that is a great idea and a lot of the ladies from the Miscarriage Forum were doing that as well.
So after that, we headed to Steph's parents, got more presents, had a scrumptious but light lunch and spent some quality time with the kids! Oh I do love being with kids on Christmas Day!!! About 3.00pm we left there and popped in to Jude's to exchange presents with her and then hit the road to Masterton. Got there, and after catching up with the family, it was time for more presents and a light tea. Spent most of the evening just blobbing out, talking and playing silly buggers as there were no young kids there just big kids very young at heart! LOL
This morning I woke, and got up threw on my walking clothes and hit the streets of Masterton! Boy it was fantastic having a change of scenery and I was so proud of myself for not getting lost but I had taken my cellphone with me just in case! LOL Did a 45 min walk and estimate that it would have been between 4.5 & 5 kms that I did - couldn't quite measure it with the car as I did a few alley ways between streets! But as I normally do 5km in about 43 mins I am guessing that is about what I covered this morning. But boy by the time I got back about 9am the sun sure had some heat in it! So back to my sisters, showered, breakfast and then myself, my sister and my mum took off to the town centre as I wanted to check out the Millers store in Masterton as I had heard so much about it and boy I could have spent hours in there!!! LOL It is the biggest Millers store in NZ the assistant told me!!! I ended up getting 5 pieces of clothing for only $33!!! 4 tops for me and a pair of shorts for Steph. Yeap Millers in Masterton and Wanganui also sell menswear and children's wear as well and boy they had some brilliant deals happening through out the shop!!! If it hadn't been for my mum and my sister I would have probably spent a lot more time there and a lot more money too! It was only because mum was getting tired that I pulled myself away from there! LOL We were going to do Farmers as well but I got talked out of doing that! But was pleased with my purchases from Millers.
Home from town, blobbed out for a while before having lunch and then after cleaning up from that we hit the road and came home. My niece hitched a ride with us so dropped her home at her flat in Lower Hutt and then came home and unpacked etc... We have realised that we left the camera and camera bag over in Masterton but as Mum is coming home tomorrow she will drop it off to us on the way home or if we are out when she comes by we will pick it up on Friday as we head up tht way. Steph took some nice photos of me in my new outfit that I got to "reward" myself for reaching the 40 kilo mark last week!
Generally speaking my food has been ok - well at meal times it has been - as we have just been having cold meats and salads but its the nibbling in between on chippies and fudge that have let me down in the last 48hrs or so... so am going to make an effort to make better choices when it comes to snacks. Water has been average too so am ok with that.
But anyway, enough rambling from me - got to go and see if the towels are dry and bring them in. Catch ya all during the week.
Ciao
Christmas Eve
Hi all
Well as much as I had planned to do a nice long post for Christmas Eve I have run out of time so this will probably end up being quite a brief one.
I am still pretty excited about acheiving my two goals that had been eluding me for so long! It sounds so great saying that I am an "eighties" chick and that I have now lost over 40 kilos! Robyn from the gym has issued me a challenge to keep it that way over the break and I certainly intend to but at the same time I am going to take time out for me and enjoy myself whilst I celebrate Christmas with family and friends.
I went to the gym this morning after telling myself that today was the last day it was open until the 3rd of Jan so it would do me no harm whatsoever to go and I am so pleased I did go as I felt so much better for doing it - I was the only one there however but that made it better in my eyes as I do prefer that way at times.
Have done the housework, cleaned charlies cage out, visited Jude and caught up with other friends that were also visiting her, mowed the lawns, folded the washing, now cooking tea before heading around to Steph's brothers place for a couple of Christmas eve drinks and nibbles.
Tomorrow we are going to have breakfast and spend some time just the two of us remembering our angels and then will head up to Steph's parents place for the main meal of the day, then mid afternoon we will head to Masterton to spend time with my family and will stay the night at my sisters place and then head home again on Monday probably after lunch.
So best I get moving - I just want to say that I hope you all have a VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS and that you all spend time with your family and loved ones. For those that are travelling I hope you have a safe journey. We are not going away so I will be updating throughout the holiday period for those that are around and are interested in reading :)
Love to you all

Double Celebrations!
Hi all
Didn't get a chance to update last night due to getting home, cooking new spuds for 14 people to take to BBQ dinner with us and then not getting home until about 10pm or so! And by that stage I was well and truely ready for bed! LOL
But I got a very pleasant surprise when I got on the scales this morning - a new all time low so I thought this is looking promising for a good result today so decided to go to weigh in on the way to work and just catch a slightly later train... so off I toddled to Barbaras's thinking that she "opens" at 7am for the regulars so am standing on the doorstep wondering why it is taking such a long time for her or Jim to answer the door and when Jim finally answered the door I had gotten him out of bed and Barbara was still in the shower as she doesn't "open" till 7.30am! Ooops! I was so embarassed and offered to come back after work but no they let me weigh in then and boy did I get a pleasant surprise - not only am I now offically an "80's" Chickee but I also reached the 40 kilo mark!!! Yeap I lost 1.7 kilos today taking my weight to 88.9 kilos and total loss is now 40.3 kilos!!! I am still on cloud nine over 13 hrs later!!! LOL And as Barbara said to me "it was worth her rushing out of the shower etc for such an excellent result"! So what can I say but bring on the 70's and the 50 kilo mark!!! LOL
So off to work I go smiling like the cat who got the mouse... and had a fairly cruisey day today organising and do my filing and checking the last reports before we ran the payroll.
Home, then I popped up to Jude's to deliver our Dept's Christmas present to her and to see her Mum and Dad, then on the way home I stopped and got us Fish and Chips for tea! First time we have had them for about 2mths at least and I tried a different shop and boy the crumbed fillet we had was mouth watering delicious and the chips were pretty damn good too so I think we will be going back there next time we decide to have them.
Oh whilst out at lunch time I decided to treat myself for reaching the 40 kilo mark and stopped in at Ballentynes and after trying on so many clothes (just cause I could) I got myself a lovely black tulle skirt and lovely white, pink and green to - the top is really hard to describe but I am planning on wearing the outfit on Christmas Day so will ensure I get a photo taken of me and will then post it as soon as I can.
Right I still have dishes to do from a couple nights ago - yes I know I am so slack at those at times when the dishwasher does the majority of the stuff for us! And then I have washing to fold etc as well so best I get a move on as I do want an early night tonight as I am shattered.
I will be posting again before Christmas Day; probably on Christmas Eve so will save my christmas greetings to then... Night all!

Tuesday quickie
Hi all
Gees I am still getting used to this new laptop - its amazing the number of mistakes I am making and have to go back and correct! LOL
Well its past my usual bedtime... so I will try to make this a quickie though on saying that I have been making the effort to stay up that wee bit later till about 10pm and I find that generally I am sleeping better so might make this effort a wee bit more frequently.
Today at work was frantic but I am so pleased with the work I got done and the fact that I did not have to work late tonight! I did go in early and was there just after 7am but by 4pm I had more or less finished everything with a couple of things to do still which I will need to follow up on tomorrow. Though we have been told that tomorrow we can take a couple of hrs for lunch to do any last minute christmas shopping etc so I might ensure I wear my comfy shoes and do some walking around the shops to see what I can find... hehehe
Foodwise today - really good except for a few liquorice alsorts this evening. Water wise - about 2 litres so am ok with that. Exercise - not a lot as when I got home, I cooked dinner, then we went up to Judes to see how she was doing and to drop a couple of things she had asked me to get for her, then it was off to the Warehouse to exchange a present we had gotten there yesterday (it is actually our present from my mum but as the Warehouse in Paraparaumu didn't have the particular one we wanted we bought it and she will give us the money), then it was off to Steph's parents place for a catch up and to drop off a ham and some bacon they had ordered through Steph's work. So after all that there was definitely no time for any exercise! BUGGER!
So after all that running around, it was home, time to wrap his sister and brother in laws presents (2 HUGE garden pots) which proved rather difficult at times. I weighed the biggest one on the scales and it weighed 16.7 kilos and considering I have lost more than double that I was suprised at how heavy it was to carry! And I had to do the carrying since Steph only has one free hand at the moment!
So here I am doing this before heading to bed - tomorrow night we have a BBQ at his sisters place before they head to Auckland hence the reason I had to get their presents wrapped tonight so we can give them to them tomorrow! The rest of the presents that I have still yet to wrap can wait till Thursday or Friday! LOL
Right Steph has just walked past on his way to bed so think I will follow................ hehehe
Catch ya all later.

Monday
Hi all
Well this time next week Christmas will be over and we will all be able to sit back and relax... well I know that is certainly what I am aiming to be doing anyway!
Today was a totally hectic day at work and I was getting so angry with the people out in the area offices!!! I can't even see my desk at the moment due to the paperwork everywhere! I started early at 7am, had about a 20min break for lunch and finished at 4.30pm. I was gonna work late but decided that my own sanity was more important so thought "bugger it all" and left and headed to the gym instead to take my frustrations out there! I will take the car in again tomorrow and start early and then play the day by ear and will assess if I need to work late tomorrow afternoon.
Food today - pretty good. We had another farewell morning tea today and I had one mini savoury muffin and some fruit so was pleased with my choices there. Still struggling with hunger "pains" during the day but by having a small pot of youghurt at morning tea time seemed to help a wee bit I guess. Water wise - ohhhh about 3 litres so am really happy with that. Exercise - well as mentioned earlier I did make the gym and am so pleased I made the effort as I felt so much better for doing it and left there pretty much on a high!
But I am gonna get moving as I want to see the last 1/2 of Extreme Makeover - Home edition so will catch ya all later.
Take care :)

Sunday evening
Hi all
Well I was all ready to download the photos from my camera to here but have discovered that we need to download the software to the laptop first before we can get the photos! Damn but never mind I will get them ONE day! LOL
Ended up having a quiet night last night but was quite worried about Jude as she was not doing so well and wouldn't call the hospital or nurse - gees she can be so stubborn at times!!! LOL But she is doing a lot better today so thats good to hear. She starts her third round of Chemo on Tuesday and once that round is finished she will have another scan etc to see if it is working or not...
This morning I thought I would go for a bike ride but ended up sleeping in and as I am still quite nervous around traffic etc by the time I got up (after 9am) there was too much traffic on the road for my liking! Guess I could go out this evening but there is still quite a bit of traffic and I don't have lights yet so guess that is on hold for now. Have contemplated a walk but got side tracked so apart from walking around shops I haven't really done any exercise today! BUGGER!
As I didn't get out for my ride, I had breakfast, cleaned Charlies cage, cleaned the bathroom before heading off to meet Jo and Rhian, Helena and Janine for lunch at Mayfair Cafe. As always it was great to see everyone though we missed you heaps Janene!!!! Perhaps next time with any luck... After that, I popped up to Judes as she had rung me earlier to see if I would visit her and be in the house whilst she had a shower as she was not feeling stable, so whilst she had her shower, I had organised all her washing for her etc and put another load on for her. Home from that and Steph and I shot down to Lower Hutt and finally got Steph's parents their Christmas Present - ended up costing us more than we had anticpated but hey they are his parents and Christmas does only come once a year. Home from that and then popped up the road to my friend Jo's (not Just Jo) place as she had just found out she is pregnant so was really exciting to be there with her for a good chat. Also lent her a few books of mine that she can read whilst laying on the beach over the holidays!
Home, tea, dishes and here I am... might disappear and start thinking about wrapping the christmas presents! Hope you all have a good week - oh I am not sure if I will get to the gym this week as I may be working late tomorrow night and then on Wednesday night we have a family get together for Steph's family to give his sister and her family their presents since they are going away on Friday. I will certainly try to get there - perhaps on Tuesday but will see how things are going at work.
Right ciao for now

Saturday Morning
Hi all
Before I start I will apologise now for any typo errors that will be in here today as this is my first post using the new laptop and I am taking a while to get used to the keyboard!
Well back to Thursday - I went to weigh in and managed to stay the same AGAIN! For the third week running I have stayed the same but given this time of the year and the functions we all go to I guess I am rather pleased with that result! I also had a good chat to Barbara about my hunger problems etc and she has given me some ideas so I am going to try some of those and see how I go. So still 700 gms away from those 80's but I WILL DO IT!!! I don't have on this week socially so perhaps I MIGHT be lucky enough to do it who knows but I do have my fingers crossed!
Friday - So much work to do and so little time really! First we had a farewell morning tea (had a mini sausage roll and a mini muffin), then back to work for a wee while before heading out to Upper Hutt as a team to have lunch with Jude which was great and I had a yummy chicken and pesto pasta dish. Back to work for an hour or so before winding up for some farewell drinks (for another person). So my in-tray is still looking horriendous so I am thinking of going in early on Monday to make a start on the pile before the phones start ringing! Had a very quiet evening - just mucking around home.
This morning I woke up contmeplating whether I should go to the gym but in the end I was out of bed and off to the gym before I could change my mind again! I know if I don't go I get really restless later in the day... I am so pleased I went as I had a brilliant work out and Robyn has increased the intensity of some of my weights and increased the repetitions as well so boy I worked real hard!!! It was also the busiest I have seen it for quite some time - typical the one day I wore a singlet rather than a tshirt - everyone was there to see my wings flaping around! LOL
Home, showered, breakfast and about to head to the hairdressers to get my foils done - I am so looking forward to that as my hair has been driving me crazy for the last couple of weeks! After that, I will pop up to Judes and take her to Upper Hutt so she can finish the last of her christmas shopping - she doesn't have too much to do so we should be ok.
Not a lot planned for tonight either so may spend some time finishing off my christmas cards and maybe even start wrapping some of the presents so I can put them under the tree! Oh I have taken a photo of the tree - just gotta download the photos!
Tomorrow I will probably do the housework that I don't think I will get done today, then I am meeting Jo (and Rhian), Helena, Janine and hopefully Janene (and Jorja) for lunch/brunch so I am really looking forward to that! But apart from that not a lot more planned for tomorrow. Oh we still have Steph's parents Christmas present to get - so will have to get that done this weekend!
Right best I get moving or I will be late to the hairdressers! Catch ya all later - hope you all have a great weekend!

Wednesday...
Hi all
Well its gone 9.30pm so past my bedtime LOL so will make this a quickie tonight (I hope).
Today has been another full on day with me just finding time now to sit down at the PC to check emails and do an update.
Foodwise - really good today so am pleased with myself there. Tried a new snack bar that I found in Metro New World this morning on the way to work - its called Naked Organic Bar - a bit on the sweet side (and tiny) but yeah I guess it was ok. Also found a Meadow Fresh Drinking Yoghurt which was low GI and 99.5% fat free - that was absoutley delicious! And I found by having that when I got to work made me last longer until I needed a snack bar! Water wise - estimated 2.5 litres so am pleased with that effort. Exercise - I went to the gym and boy did I sweat it out there! Mainly due to the high humidity but also due to having a good workout. There was only 2 of us there this evening which made it fun and quick!
A big thanks to Kate and yummy mummy for your lovely support and comments after last nights post -that meant the world to me when I read those posts and I will drop you both an email shortly!
So home, showered, fresh pasta for tea, then we jumped in the car did a quick visit to Jude as she was not feeling the best today and then off to Pak 'N' Save for the Christmas Club night! Boy talk about temptations with the amount of free food and drink being offered as we walked around! Resisted all food but did have a sample glass of Oyster Bay Sav Blanc - yum! Home, unpacked the groceries and here I am now about to head to bed! Was planning to get some more Christmas cards done tonight and I am out tomorrow evening so guess they will have to wait till either Friday evening or over the weekend.
Catch ya all tomorrow - will try to do an update between weigh in, tea and then going out again!
Take care

Tuesday evening
Hi all
Well hopefully just another quick post tonight as I still have a bit to do and its almost 8pm and I am one of those people that need a lot of sleep so am usually in bed by 9.30pm at the latest - yes I know I wonder how I will cope when my turn at being a mum comes around but I am sure I will! :)
Work today - another hectic day but boy the day sure did fly by! We have decided to go out to lunch with Jude on Friday as a team Christmas lunch so we are all looking forward to that and I know Jude is thats for sure! Just going to a local cafe in Upper Hutt so Jude doesn't have far to go but thats cool - it will be great for her to catch up with us all.
Foodwise today - another good day. I have taken some of your suggestions after last nights post upon board and I will really have a look at my protein intake and also my snacks and perhaps alter them a bit and see how that goes. Water - hmmm I would estimate between 2.5 and 3 litres today so am really pleased with that. Exercise - yes I did go to the gym tonight!!! YAY for me!!! I didn't go last night as it was closing early so last night I packed my bag for today JUST IN CASE I felt like going this afternoon. And a special thanks to Jo S (hope you are reading this Jo) for encouraging me to go - especially as a place to vent my frustrations and emotional problems I am going through right now! It worked and I feel so much better for doing it.
The only problem with the gym at the moment is with Steph being out of action for cooking (hard to cut things up one handed) it meant that we had a late dinner as by the time I get home from the gym it is about 6.45pm, so started dinner then, and then had my shower after Shortland Street.... but I am sure we will manage for the next few weeks as it is not as if I go to the gym every night! I am contemplating going tomorrow night too (my usual Wednesday visit) but we also have the Pak 'N' Save Christmas Club night so will see how we are going.
The emotional problems I am going through right now are quite hard to deal with and I am up and down and all over the place emotionally! I just keep on thinking of my two angels right now as I should either (A) have a 3mth old baby to love, care for and to call my own or (B) be in the third trimester of a pregnancy had I not lost the 2nd one too! So between those two things right now I am struggling quite a bit but thanks to an amazing support network on the "Somebody" forum that I belong to I am getting through each day.
I am sad to see that both Jo and Anne are taking a break from journalling over the christmas/new year period - both due to other things happening in their lives! I am gonna miss your updates heaps but I totally understand their reasoning and respect that. These are both amazing women (whom I have met personally) and I hope that they come back to journalling in the New Year!
Anyway, gotta keep moving -this once again has turned into a longer than planned update.

Start of another week
Hi all
Hope you all had a good weekend - mine went well but boy it sure went fast!
Work today - boy another hectic day but as I have said before with this new job it is a fun hectic and everyone in the whole team are busy wee bees!
Food today - a good day on the food front. Though I will share something here - since starting at the new job a few weeks ago I find myself hungry all the damn time and nothing seems to ease the hunger pains! I nibble on raisins and museli bars and fruit during the day but for some reason they just don't help at all! Don't know whether it is due to more exercise to get to and from work (doubt it) or perhaps it is of the altitude as I am on now on Level 9 compared to Level 5 (doubt that too).... so any ideas on what it can be??? The last couple of days I have also had a real weird taste in my mouth as well - reminds me of the OLD days when I used to be a social smoker and I would wake up in the morning after a night of drinking and the occasional smoke so not sure what is going on really!
Am also struggling with energy levels a lot of the time too... so combine the energy levels with the hunger and the funny taste and one could think pregnancy but I have just had TOM (and a heavyish one at that) as well as doing a couple of pregnancy tests and I am not pregnant... so any other suggestions from you lovely readers?
Water today has been great - about 2.25 litres so am pleased with that. And yesterday when we went to the BBQ all I drunk was water so that made me feel real good (especially after the drinking on Saturday night).
Exercise - yes I know this is no excuse but the gym was closing early today due to an event being held there this evening so yes I could be walking, I could be biking, but what I am doing? Sitting on my arese doing this, about to do the dishes, doing washing and other domestic bits which Steph can't really do right now with his hand in a splint! I guess if I really did want to do some exercise I would do it but to be honest I just can not be bothered! Perhaps it is this time of the year? Perhaps it also has some thing to do with the high humidity? Who knows... but I am on the look out for my misplaced mojo :)
But anyway, this ain't getting the dishes done, it ain't getting the washing brought in and folded.... so best I get moving off this chair and do some things. Catch ya all tomorrow night.

Sunday update
Hi all
Wow this weekend has ended up being quite full on after thinking that we may have a "quiet" one or as quiet as one can have at this time of the year.
Still pleased that I was able to stay the same at last weigh in so am really working hard to ensure I either have a loss or another maintain this week! As much as I really do want to reach that 40 kilo mark before Christmas I am not going to stress over it if I don't (please remind me of this when I do stress LOL) and will be quite happy just to maintain over the next 3 weeks and then do some serious butt kicking in the New Year.
So back to yesterday - gym, home, breaksfast, shopping, lunch, housework, put the Christmas Tree up and then off to Steph's parents place as we were having an early Christmas dinner there as his sister (and her family) will be up in Auckland for Christmas and also Steph's aunt and uncle from Scotland were in Wgtn for the weekend so we decided to have an early Christmas to celebrate with them. I had every intention of just having one drink and then being the sober driver home... but that changed pretty quickly as the bubbles kept going down glass after glass after glass after glass (get the picture)... so ended up quite pissed and had to sit outside (thank goodnees it was a nice evening) to "sober" up so to speak as I was not feeling the best! Steph ended up driving home as he had only had 2 drinks early in the evening and then had a huge meal so he was ok to drive... and I have to give it to him his driving is quite good one-handed! Got home about 11pm and just crashed into bed and had some real weird dreams! LOL
This morning, we had a wee sleep in, breakfast, a quick trip to the supermarket to get some groceries for Jude as she is having problems with her soles of her feet (side effect of the chemo), dropped the groceries to her place and then upon getting back home I decided it that the lawns could not wait any longer as they were really annoying me as they were quite long - not so much with grass but with dandelions etc! So that was my work out for the day - boy I don't think I will mow the lawns in the middle of the day again as it sure was damn hot! Ended up having another quick shower after that, then lunch, and then we decided to do a spur of the moment trip to Porirua to check out Harvey Norman as they stock the digital camera that Steph has been wanting for a long time! So an hr later we are walking out of there with not only with a new camera but a new laptop as well!!!! OMG we are so dangerous at times but never mind - you gotta live each day as it comes as you never know what is around the corner.
Home again, quickly cleaned Charlies cage and am here doing this before heading off to Steph's sisters place for a family BBQ (and its just started to rain lightly) before his aunt and uncle head down south in the morning. Neither of us want a late night so hopefully we will be home by about 9ish.
So still no Christmas cards done but they WILL be done THIS week!!! :)
Right gotta get moving - this ended up being longer than I anticpated. Catch ya all later. Have a good week everyone.

End of the week
Hi all
Well all I can say is TGIF (Thank God its Friday)!!! What a week and I am totally exhausted! It was a real struggle to get to work today but I did and I survived the day with a headache that kept coming and going... we were real busy but at least that made the day go a bit faster.
Thanks for all your support and well wishes regarding Stephan's accident. He did get the Op yesterday afternoon and was discharged about 9.45pm last night! We were told it would be 8.30pm so I hung around the hospital but I was getting quite wound up by the time we did get to go as I was so tired! But the good news is that he is home with a light cast on his hand/arm (that goes help to the elbow) - looks bloody impressive for someone who has just "cut" his finger! LOL Will try to get a photo of it over the weekend and will post it once I get one. He goes back to the hospital on Monday to get a new splint put on and for a light session of physio already.
Oh I did go to weigh in last night as when Steph came back to the ward the first thing he asked for was some fish and chips! LMAO So once I checked with the nurse that it was ok that he had some, I went down to the local fish and chip shop which happens to be RIGHT next door to Barbara's house so whilst I was waiting for tea I popped in and asked if I could do an "unoffical" weigh in to see how much I had gained considering I have got TOM, the chocolate I have eaten this week, the takeaways I have had and the Christmas lunch I had yesterday.... so to say I was shocked at the result was an understatment.... wait for it..... I stayed the same!!!! Normally I would get a bit down about that especially for the 2nd week in a row but after everything I have eaten this week I was estatic! LOL So we made it an offical weigh in after all! LOL Yes I know I have to work extra hard this week to make sure I don't have a big gain next week. So still 700gms till I am an 80's chick and 1.4 kilos until the ever eluding 40 kilo mark but I WILL DO THIS!!!!
Food today - has been quite good for a Friday with the only "naughty" thing sneaking in being a small chunky chocolate bar this afternoon to help me through! Water - hmmm very slack there today but tomorrow will be better. Exercise - don't usually do much on a Friday but I can tell you after two days of not doing Plimmer Stairs (due to taking car in) it was a bit more of an effort this morning :)
But right thats enough from me - tea is cooking and then I am popping up to Jude's for a wee while to see how she is doing as I seem to have "abandoned" her this week with all of Steph's drama's! So will do a QUICK catch up with her before coming back home and "Crashing" for the night. Not even sure if I will go to the gym in the morning - I probably will end up going but at this stage I just don't have the energy for it!
Catch ya all later and hope all you have a good weekend.

Quick update
Hi all
Well just another quickie as I have come home to bring in the washing and have some tea before heading back to the hospital to be with Steph.
I dropped him at hospital (well waited till he was admitted) and then went to work with a thumping headache that has lasted all day. Rung patient enquiries a couple of times - still no time for the op. Stopped at hospital on way home - still no time for op. He's not allowed any tea tonight so with any luck they will operate sometime this evening - gotta think positively! So after tea I will head back to the hospital, spend some time with him and then come home, do some phone calls to update people and then bed for an early night and hopefully a good nights sleep! I got very little sleep last night as I was too scared to move in case I knocked his arm or anything like that and also with him flat on his back and three pillows piled up in the middle of the bed for him to rest his arm on - there was little room for me! LOL Just as well I am smaller now... LOL
Foodwise today - not bad considering really - oh yeah forgot about the snifters I had this afternoon! I so needed chocolate so will put that down to TOM cravings and stress! :) Water - only about 1 litre so not good at all :( Exercise - no gym tonight since I will be playing nurse and the dutiful wive's role! :)
Not sure if I will get to weigh in tomorrow as we have our section's christmas lunch tomorrow and to be honest I just want to relax and enjoy myself without worrying about having to weigh in later on! Might try and weigh in before work but will see how I am going for time as that will mean I will be late getting to work and I do have to finish early anyway as I have a dentist appt at 5pm!
Right I am outta here - thanks for all your well wishes and support... will keep you all posted.

Tuesday Quickie
Hi all
First things first - I am not pregnant! :( Thanks for all your support and kind words though - I had really started getting my hopes up but never mind. As the saying goes "Practice makes perfect" LOL
The second thing - I have just gotten home from A&E after getting a phone call from Steph to say he was there with a severley cut finger. After hrs of waiting (in the corridor) the plastic's registrar took a look at it and he has 90% cut the tendon in his finger so needs to go back tomorrow morning to get it operated on! So we are back at the hospital tomorrow morning where I will drop him off and then go back after work or earlier if needs be.
My food today has not been the best - chocolate bar for afternoon tea and boy I so needed/wanted that and it tasted good!!! And then as we were late getting home, we had Hometown chicken and chips for tea! There was no way I was coming home at 8.30pm and cooking tea.... Oh well tomorrow is another day! Waterwise - about 1.5 litres so thats ok I guess. Exercise - none as I was planning on a walk or bike ride this evening but thats gone out the door too!
Right time I was outta here - catch ya later

Monday Monday
Yeap good ole Monday again - another week begins and another week closer to Christmas! ARGHHHHHHHHH!!!! LOL
Nah actually its not that bad really - well not for me as I am really organised with the Christmas presents - just gotta get the Aussie one's posted this week! And something for Steph's parents and we are more or less done! Christmas cards - well thats another story altogether but I am aiming to buy this week and do them over the weekend so hopefully I will get them done! Still gotta get the Christmas tree up but will do that when I have some spare time - perhaps over this coming weekend...
Oh before I start on todays happenings - apologies if I rambled on a bit too much last night - guess I had lots of things going on in my head and it all just came out as I started typing...
Foodwise today - really good! Boy did I have some urges to fight off though - all afternoon all I wanted was a snack from the snack box but did I cave in??? NO I DID NOT!!! I had an apple and some raisins instead! YAY!!! Waterwise - about 3 litres so am impressed with that effort today. Exercise - despite not having any energy and really not wanting to go to the gym this afternoon I forced myself to go knowing that if I missed it I would have the dreaded phonecall from Robyn asking where I was (since I had missed Sat morning) so that alone was enough to get my arse there! LOL So made it there and in the beginning it was quite a struggle but near the end I was really enjoying it and was pleased that I had made the effort to go!
Still no TOM so still waiting on that front... I actually did a HPT (home pregnancy test) on Saturday morning but got a BFN (big fat negative) result but as I am unsure of my cycle's at the moment who knows it may have been to early. So will wait another couple of days (if I can) before doing another test. A special friend of mine on the forum I belong too found out today that she is pregnant and I am so pleased for her so I would love to be pregnant as well so we could go through everything together but guess I will just have to wait and see.
Anyway thats it from me - hope its not too long tonight. Catch ya all tomorrow some time.

Sunday Night
Hi all
Wow where has the weekend gone??? It sure has flown by thats for sure!!! Right firstly thanks to all those that commented re my photos that I posted on Friday night - I decided I really need to do that mainly for myself since my weight loss has been so slow lately so I needed to see those photos online to prove to myself that I am doing well and that I still will continue this journey!
Saturday morning - I woke early with a sore throat (worse than it was Friday evening) and feeling very blah so decided to give the gym a miss and had a wee lay in before getting up, and getting stuck into washing, housework, doing the groceries and home again for lunch before hitting the shops to do some more Christmas shopping! Hmmmmm 500 odd dollars later we left Mitre 10 Mega - but a lot of that was on Steph's main Christmas pressie which is some fancy dangle drill that he has been wanting for ages so we got that for him but have told him he has to wait until Christmas Day before he's allowed to play with it! LOL Also managed to score some other lovely pressies for various family members :) Only 2 left to get now - mine of course (probably going to be a bike) and Steph's parents. We have no idea what we are getting them but still have two more weekends so am sure we will think of something in that time. After getting home from our shopping, I decided I was restless and had been contemplating going for a bike ride but chickened out of that and did a 7km walk instead (in 72 mins) and felt brilliant for doing that. Showered, tea and a very quiet night indeed.
Today, woke earlyish so decided that since it was not raining and that there wouldn't be many people out and about that I would go for a bike ride... so off I went and did about 18 mins on the bike and guess what - I don't have a sore bum today! LOL Perhaps I will feel it tomorrow but so far so good! :) I think I could have gone further but didn't want to over do things so just one step at a time for this lass :) Home, showered, breakfast, read our books for a while and then Steph and I got stuck into our spare room!!! Boy it was a shambles - everything just gets thrown in there anywhere it will go! So we went hard at it for a couple of hours before stopping for lunch. Did a wee bit more before going to meet a couple of local girls at the local bar/cafe. Unfortunately one of them had forgotten all about it but the other one and I had a good ole chat and before we knew it an hour had gone past and although I could have kept chatting for ages (whats new LOL) I had told Steph that I wouldn't be too long as we still had heaps to do on the room. Home again and Steph was out getting some of those 40 litre plastic bins from the Warehouse so went threw some old drawers etc and then once he was home, we stacked things into the bins and sorted everything out! Boy the room looks so much bigger and better now - you can actually see the floor now! LOL Still got the bed to sort out as it is covered with a lot of my old clothes so I need to decide whether or not I am going to sell them on TradeMe or just give them away - oh decisons decisons! LOL Oh there is still the wardrobe to sort out as wel but out of sight out of mind for now! :)
Oh one thing I did find hard whilst doing the clean out of the drawers was throwing out the majority of my first wedding photos! I have always held on to them as I am a sentimental person but I decided that they just had to go as I did not have any good reason to hold on to them. So I went through them and kept out the nice ones of family members and friends and biffed the rest! Just thought that perhaps T might have wanted to have a look for any of his family ones but oooooops to late now. Also threw out my horseshow and rolling pin that were presented to me. I just felt that they were not necessary to hold on to as I had been given new ones when I married Steph - if I had a daughter to T then I may have held on to them but I don't so I couldn't see why I should hold to them - they are just taking up more room! But overall that 1/2hr or so was really hard and quite emotional but am sure in the long run it is for the better!
Anyway, after doing the room, I cooked the most delicious dinner of fresh salmon steaks, new potatoes and salad! YUM YUM! Then I popped up to see Jude briefly as her brother brought her back from Foxton this afternoon - she is looking so good! Then after a brief visit to her I popped around to Jo's to drop off some old Tupperware that Jude's mum is getting replaced and to pick up a can opener I had ordered (part of a Christmas present for someone) and boy Rhian was in fine form! She was supposed to be in bed but oh no she was full of beans and very entertaining and cheeky! It is moments like that when I realise how much I want to be a mum and one day my turn WILL come!
Right I have rambled on enough now - its gone 9pm so I will go get my gym gear ready for tomorrow and then sort myself out workwise and then head to bed... so will catch ya all later.

Comparison
Hi all
Well its Friday night and I am bored! LOL Okay well not quite bored but just having a quiet one at home which is probably just as well as I am not actually feeling the best as I have got a bit of a sore throat which is hurting when I swallow so hopefully that doesn't eventuate into anything else.
Ok firstly here is my photo taken at DOC when I first started there in Sept 02. I had not yet started this journey but you can see I really needed to!!!
And here is the pic of me taken today - I put it off for as long as I could but I got nagged so much I just gave in eventually! Don't really like it too much as it makes me look like I have pimples on my chin and also my hair looks really dark (though it is due for more highlights in the next couple of weeks) but hey you can see the difference!
And one more for you all to see. This one was taken 1 year ago today and apart from the bad hair day once again you can see the difference. Not a huge amount but there is some noteable change!
So that is enough sharing of photos for now - gees I have just realised this is the first time I have posted pics since I started using blogger. Thanks Kate for the instructions! :) And once I have downloaded the photos from the team building day and also the photos of Plimmer Steps I will post them here for you to see as well. Oh speaking of team building photos there were some shown at work today and I was busy looking for myself in one of them and I didn't even realise it was me as it was from behind and it looked too skinny for me!!! One of the other girls pointed me out and I was like "wow is that me"??? LOL Must remember to copy that one next week and send it home so I can post here :)
Foodwise - hmmm not the best but I do usually have Friday as a semi relaxed day so I guess it was no more relaxed than a normal Friday. A BLT for lunch, a chocolate fish for afternoon tea and then Hungry Kiwi Pizza and chips for tea. Exercise - Plimmer Steps twice (once before work and then once at lunch time). Water - about 1.5 litres so a bit slack but still good for a Friday.
TOM is due shortly so feeling rather yuck and bloated so not sure if I will get to the gym in the morning. Yeah Yeah I know I should but we are all allowed a day off every now and then and besides I have very sore arm muscles from the tree sawing etc from the team building yesterday... even date stamping the mail at work hurt my arms today! LOL So god knows how I would manage on the rower etc! LOL Oh my butt is still a bit tender after Tuesday's bike ride! Gees I really do have to toughen up I think and seriously consider Steph's offer of getting me a bike for Christmas with a proper gel ladies seat on it!
Anyway, I have rambled enough tonight - catch ya all later

Weigh Day
Hi ya
Well weigh in day today and I stayed the same! Which I guess is better than gaining but just a wee bit bummed about it... Though upon saying that I did have heavier clothes on today due to the team building that we did so I had on trackies and a heavy tshirt so who knows perhaps I may have had another wee loss had I been wearing my "weigh in" clothes! So still 700gms till I reach the 80's... and still 1.4 kilos until I reach that ever eluding 40 kilo mark!
The team building day today ended up being lots of fun... and at the end of the day we all went away saying that we had done our bit for the local conservation which made us feel good! It was bloody hard work at times but lots of fun - not just weed pulling but chopping down fennel and broome (2 out of control weeds in NZ) and other trees as well! Applied sunblock 3 times so fingers crossed that was sufficent as I am just recovering from the last sun burn episode 2 weeks ago! I have taken some photos which like the ones of Plimmer Steps I will post on here once I have downloaded them. I do have sore feet though but that is probably from being on my feet all day and I can see an early night happening for me tonight (as well as the majority of the team) due to the fresh air and the physical work we were doing!
Foodwise today - well I had all good intentions of staying away from the BBQ sausages and meat patties at lunch time (that work provided) but hey we all know what its like when that smell drifts over to you and when one is working as well that smell is even more tempting so in the end I ended up having 3 meat patties - yeap 3 but they were small one but bloody nice! Not sure if they were any healthier than sausages when it comes to fat content etc but I felt better for chosing them over the sausages! :) Water wise - really good - about 2.5 litres which considering the walk to the nearest toilet today was a good 10 min hike down a bank to the toilets on the beach and then a good 20 min hike back up the bank I managed to hold on all day until we got back to work where there was a frantic dash to all the ladies - boy I have never been so pleased to go to the toilet!!! LOL From what I can gather the majority of us ladies had "held on" all day and when one is drinking fluids to refrain from dehydrating it is a mission in itself! Good exercise for one's pelvic muscles! LOL
Oh Jude is doing really well this week -she started her 2nd round of Chemo on Tuesday and has not been sick at all and is looking great! The only side effect she has had so far this round is tingling in her feet and arms but hey if thats all she has then that is bloody marvellous! She is going to her parents on Friday and coming back Monday morning (or Sunday night) so that will be good for her.
At this stage not a lot planned for the weekend in our household... still got a few Christmas pressies to get but we know what we are getting for most of them! Gotta wrap and organise to get the ones to Aussie posted this coming week as well. On Sunday I am meeting 2 other girls (who live in the same suburb that I do) from another forum that I am on for women who are TTC (trying to conceive). When we discovered that there are 3 of us who all live within 5 mins of each other we decided it would be nice to meet so we are meeting at the local bar/cafe on Sunday afternoon for a coffee and chat.
Right thats me - I am outta here... catch ya all later at some stage.
