Weigh In
Hi
Had another weigh in this evening and gained 400gms in the week. Probably to do with the morning tea our GM shouted us this morning. Each Thursday she likes to come up and spend some time with our team and usually brings up some sort of biscuits but today it was a bag of my favourite chippies - plain sea salted Delisio Chips!!! YUM YUM! And I know I certainly had more than my fair share of them... but I am not stressing!
Am also contemplating only going to weigh in either fortnightly or even monthly for a couple of reasons. One being that it may help me relax more about the weight during the pregnancy (I would still monitor myself at home) and secondly it is further to go now since we have moved house. To save me time and petrol I need to remember to take the car down to Waterloo Station, then go to weigh in straight from the train and then home. I discussed that with Barbara this evening, and she is ok with that as long as I don't "disappear" totally as she wants to keep an eye on me.
Work today was pretty full on as the boss is away so was only L, the temp and myself and I had a big run in with the temp this afternoon. I was initally quite stressed about it but after talking to L this evening (she had already gone home) we are going to raise it with the Boss on Monday when he is back. L witnessed the inital "situation" earlier on but the temp didn't confront me until L had left.
Been a delay in getting the front door "finalised" with the lock situation but will follow that up tomorrow.
Oh Anne - the banana loaf receipe I used was straight from the Edmonds Book. Had never used it before and it was so simple and so delicious! "Annoymous" also left a comment about where I got the banana's from - not sure whereabouts you are from but here we have them in the supermarkets etc... so no worries about getting a supply of them.
Anyway, dishes to do... phone calls to make.... catch ya all later

Hi ya
Not too much to say tonight but am feeling much better... ended up finishing here last night and going to bed and crying myself to sleep as I had such a thumping headache! So went and lay down with a cold flannel over my eyes and forehead so between that and the crying I eventually fell asleep... but luckily I felt better when I woke this morning.
Work today was full on but another payroll has been completed and another mad fortnight begins tomorrow!
But since getting home, I have cooked dinner, watched Shortland St, baked a banana loaf (been craving one for a few days but had to wait to borrow a loaf tin from a friend), did the dishes, folded the washing, put the washing away, and have just taken the loaf out of the oven and boy it smells bloody good! So gonna go try a piece soon as I have never made it before! LOL
Not a lot more happening at the moment - oh we are 1/2 way through getting the front door sorted. The guy came today but could only do one of the locks today - the other one should be sorted tomorrow then hopefully things will be all sorted.
Anyway, gonna get going - not much else to say... catch ya all later

Hi all
Just a quickie tonight as I have a headache so am heading to bed shortly...
I had an awesome day yesterday with Helena, Jo (and Rhian), Janine, Janene (and Jorja), Jenny (Jo's mum), Anne and Felicity. Talk about talking, laughing, shopping and just lots of fun! I for one was a "good girl" and didn't spend any money on clothes - but did spend a bit on food! LOL I was most surprised when Jo turned up on time and I had the pleasure of riding to Palmerston and back in the back seat with Jorja - good practise is what Jo and Helena called it... and something to do with my short legs! LOL I must admit it was fun but definitely an eye opener at times! LOL
Got home to a lovely cooked dinner, dishes, made my lunch for today and then went and soaked in a lovely warm (but not too warm) lavender bubble bath before collapsing in bed about 8.45pm!
Today has been pretty full on at work but managed to be able to get away more or less on time (with L's help). My headache started coming and going about lunchtime and I did end up taking a panadol mid afternoon so am very reluctant to take another one this evening so am hoping an early night will do the trick.
Oh the stove and the element has been fixed, okay the oven still needs a good clean which Stephan has said he will do at the weekend. Still waiting for the locksmith to make contact but hopefully that will be tomorrow... and oh we have TV now after 10 days without it.
Right am off to bed.... catch ya all later

Hi ya
Just a quick post to say a couple of things...
1) Thank you ALL so much from the bottom of my heart for your lovely supportive comments and emails since Thursday's hormonal post! Perhaps I should stay away from blogger when I am that down... as it doesn't happen that often (thank god) but I am a lot better today. Yesterday I was 50/50 but being so busy at work kept me occupied big time.
2) Yes I had my offical 12 week NT scan this morning........ and all is just fine! We have a 12 min video of it all and heaps of pics too. So once our scanner is up and running again I will scan a pic or two and post them on here but the rate that is going I will have had my 20 week one (as well as my at about 15 weeks to keep me happy) I promise there will be pics as soon as I can. The sonographer was wonderful and so friendly. Don't get the official results of the NT side of things until either my MW or the hospital contacts me but to be honest I am not too worried about that side of things.
But thats all I came on for at this stage - have had my haircut today and have to admit I have gone back to a similar style I had before my last cut. I loved my last cut (in my profile pic) for the first 3 weeks or so but once my hair started growing it got harder to manage and my naturally curly hair just didn't suit that style at all. Had lots of flash backs to my school days! LOL
Have just had cheese and tomato toasties for lunch so best we get some housework done since I am gonna be in Palmy tomorrow! Am so looking forward to that and having some scrumptious food! LOL And of course seeing all my friends too :) I did have a thought about how nice it would be for all of us kiwis (and perhaps the aussies too) to get together over a long weekend! The mind boggles at the talking etc but god it would be so much fun!
Right am going now.... catch ya all later.

**WARNING - BITCHY HOROMONAL POST AHEAD**
I have had enough!!!!!!!! Since buying this house we seem to have had nothing but problems! First there was the front door key issue (still unresolved), the stove issue (with the agents) and now after waiting a week to get someone out to check out the ariel situation - he only came to give us a quote and can't do the job until Monday or Tuesday next week!!! And it is going to cost us $373!!!!!!!!!! $373 that we don't have to spare at the moment especially after spending over $600 on a garden shed (definitely required as we have no garage) and $200 on bits and pieces for the shower (much needed) and extra rails etc for bathroom and a new lock for the laundry door! We still have to get new locks on the front and back door yet too!!! FFS - If I had known it was going to cost so much I would have stayed renting!
We do have savings (not heaps though) which I am trying to build on to use as a nest egg whilst I am on Maternity Leave (only taking about 5mths off) but I can see that dwindling down slowly but surely...
I am so sick of sitting at home listening to the damn radio! Yes I guess I could watch a DVD or video but don't want to do that - I want to watch my TV programmes - Shortland St, Super Nanny, Coro St, Extreme Home Makeover... and Stephan is missing all his action/crime ones like CSI, Spooks etc... Yes I guess we could try getting other quotes but since its taken this long to get one person here, by the time we get others around here (in the times that it suits us not just any time of the day) it could be weeks before we get the TV up and running!
I have a headache as well but don't want to go to bed just yet otherwise I will be wide awake half the damn night! Only ate tea about 30 mins ago but am hungry already so can see a nibbling episode coming up soon...
I want to get out and visit people as there are quite a few people I could visit but I can't be arsed doing that.... I want to do some more unpacking but it makes it hard when I can't do any lifting of the boxes etc... I want to visit Jude so much but well we know I can't do that either - and we now live so much closer to where she did as well. God I am missing her so much at the moment - I want her here going through this pregnancy with me like she promised me she would be!!! God why is life so unfair at times!
I went to weigh in as well and as expected I gained and it was more or less what I predicted as well - 1.7 kilos over the last 3 weeks! Barbara was ok with it as am I! Hey we have had Easter in that time as well and I did have a bit of chocolate... and my exercise has been pretty slack too of late! Perhaps I will get my energy back in the next couple of weeks or two...
Got the roadtrip to Palmy on Sunday with the gals - it will be so cool to meet Jenny (Jo's mum) and also Felicity (from down south) and it will just be great to catch up with the other Wgtn gals too! And of course the two princesses Rhian and Jorja will be there too... will be great too see how they get on with each other now that they are growing up!
Anyway, thats enough from me for one night - oh work is hell too at the moment! So all in all life is shit and I am sure that the scan on Saturday is going to produce bad news... I know I am supposed to think positively but that is easier said than done right now!
Catch ya all later - probably on Saturday after the scan etc... We have a Prenzels party tomorrow night at Lynaires place but I won't be doing any sampling apart from the Ice Cream Toppings of course...
See ya and thanks for listening to me moan and bitch!
PS Its just on 8pm and I have just demolished a whole bag of Salt and Vingear chips and feel even more yuck now! Might just head to bed and cry myself to sleep... (oh Steph is out at shooting too otherwise I wouldn't have eaten them all)

Hi all
Thanks for the advice on the stove issue - there is a lot of background to the sale of this place that I haven't gone in to detail on here but basically have raised the issue with the agent and waiting to hear back from him...
Well it was back to work today even though I didn't get there until almost 11am (after the dietitan) and boy there was heaps of work and lots of emails to catch up on - gonna be a real busy 3 days for me I feel!
Oh the dietitian appt went well though she didn't really tell me anything that I didn't already know after losing 40 odd kilos over the last 3 years! So its just a matter of eating more of the right foods and less of the "wrong" foods and keeping up my walking (which has been slack lately). I was really shocked that she didn't even weigh me - got the impression from her that as I knew already that I had gained a couple of kilos so far that she was happy for me to monitor myself. So overall a bit of a waste of time but go back for a review in August!!!
Still no front door key either but will follow that one up with Nikki tomorrow - surely its not that hard to track down the painter contractor who did the painting of the ceilings.
Oh just had a visit from Midwife - basically just did the blood pressure which was great as usual and then just chatted for 30 mins or so. Learnt some new things and had a good laugh at the same time. So seeing her again in 4 weeks time at which time we should be able to pick up bubs heartbeat through the doopler. Am 12 weeks today - and laugh when people say how time has flown but for me it seems to have dragged! Yet when I think of Carla and Kim who both announced their pregnancies during the same week as me - to me their pregnancies have flown by! LOL
Anyway, best I get moving - catch ya all tomorrow probably after I have faced the music at weigh in - its going to be a gain that much I am sure of but just how much remains to be seen...

Getting there
Yeap am getting there slowly but surely... still got heaps of boxes to go but they are all down the other end of the house in the spare bedroom and the room that is gonna be bubs room. Sooooo what I can't see is ok in my eyes at the moment. The lounge, dining, kitchen, bathroom are all more or less done and our bedroom just needs a couple of things organised and all will be ok there too.
First thing on the agenda this morning was shopping for a new stove/range as the one here is disgusting, crappy and on the way out with one blown element already! But boy didn't realise how expensive new stoves were... we even checked out the second hand part of Newbolds to see what they had but we are still up for a few hundred dollars! OUCH! Nothing bought as yet but will definitely have to get one real soon. So in the meantime we are managing to cook meals on the stove as neither us are keen to use the oven!
Still no TV but waiting to hear back from an aeral place that Steph rung this morning - and I must admit even though it was nice for the first 24hrs or so without TV its starting to get frustrating now. I would be ok if I was away bush or something like that but with the TV sitting there teasing us it is getting hard! LOL Though probably harder for Steph than me as he is the main TV watcher in our place.
Had a phone call from the hospital today regarding my DR's latest referral for me she thought it might pay for me to see a dietican for some extra advice whilst pregnant especially with all the hard work I have done prior to the pregnancy. They have had a cancellation so am seeing him on Wednesday at 9.30am... If I wanted an early morning appt or late afternoon one I would have had to wait until late June!!!! Gees didn't realise there would be such a long waiting list for this sort of thing! It was definitely made clear to me that there is a long list and that the specialist picked me out of the list due to being pregnant so I really felt like I couldn't say no to the appt.
Anyway, best I get moving and make a start on the dishes - bring back the dishwasher! LOL Though at this stage there is NO room for one the way the kitchen is currently designed... but who knows what the future will bring....

Hi ya
Just a very quick post to let everyone know that we are now in OUR house. Had a few hiccups the day before but nothing that the stand-in lawyer (as ours was away) couldn't fix. Then got here to find that we only had back door keys - no front door keys so the poor movers had to get everything in through the back door which was a struggle at times but they did a great job. Will hopefully get the front door keys on Monday as they are with the painter contractor who was in doing the ceilings and he is in Fiji at the moment but apparently due back later today so all going well we will get them tomorrow sometime.
Still got HEAPS of boxes to unpack but am not going to stress about them - will just do them in my own time. Kitchen is far too small when it comes to cupboard space so really struggling there but slowly getting there I think.
Got the inspection of the old place this afternoon so that will be good to get that over and done with and our bond back.
Anyway, best I get moving as Steph has popped out to get some more speaker wire as we have no sounds yet and no TV either but have to call the Arial technician in the morning for that.
Oh shit before I go - just to say that all my bloods came back "normal" and go back to the hospital in 4 weeks time for another check up. And had my "reassurance" scan on Friday afternoon in between the unpacking etc - Steph couldn't come as he had to wait for the Telecom man to come so I had a friend come with me as a support person just in case... but all is well. Was so amazing seeing this wee thing with the facial features forming and little limbs where the arms and legs are starting to form. Very active wee thing too - doing heaps of flips and summersalts etc... Sonographer was very impressed... so am really looking forward to the offical one on Saturday and Steph will be able to see things too.
Right gotta dash - catch ya all later sometime.

Hi ya
This may be my last post until we move - but not sure when Stephan is planning on packing up the PC's though am guessing it will be tomorrow evening at some stage.
I am tired, shattered, exhausted, grumpy, hormonal, worried, stressed.... get the picture??? Not a pretty person right now and not one to be messed with either as people are slowling learning... especially Steph. We seem to be snapping at each other quite a bit at the moment - we are both tired from the packing etc and we really are making the effort to be nice to each other and respect each others feelings but at times we both just bite at each other!
Oh here is a pic of the house...
Have my appt at the hospital tomorrow to get results back from all those bloods that they took from me 4 weeks ago. One presumes if there had been anything major come back in the results that they would have rung me and gotten me to come in earlier... so will be finishing work early, then up to Upper Hutt to finalise the Insurance, then to the Real Estate Company to pick up the keys, then to Mitre 10 to purchase our new garden shed, then probably time for take aways, then home and do the last minute packing... so can't see me getting to weigh in really but if I find the time I will TRY... otherwise it will be next week to get the gain I am avoiding...
Right I am outta here - time to do some things before hitting the sack...
Catch ya all at some stage over the weekend I guess... but knowing Steph the PCs will be the last to be packed and one of the first things to be set up... LOL
*hugs to you all*
This may be my last post until we move - but not sure when Stephan is planning on packing up the PC's though am guessing it will be tomorrow evening at some stage.

Hmmmm so much for going to work for a rest today - it was a full on day and I am probably even more shattered than I was last night! LOL So its 8pm so think I will head to bed shortly and perhaps read for a wee while if I can keep my eyes open long enough.
We did the final inspection of the house this evening - wow it looks so different empty but oh it is so clean! :) I love people who leave houses tidy! The vendor has had the gully trap fixed (as per our request when we signed the contract) and he has also repainted all the ceilings throughout the house! Wow thats great - one less job for us to do! The living area and the spare room/computer room are both a wee bit smaller than we remembered but thats all ok. I should have taken the camera and taken some photos of it empty but too late now but I promise to take some just as soon as I can. There are security latches on the windows in most rooms which is great too... the cupboard space in the kitchen may be a wee bit of an issue but am sure I will manage.
I spoke to Steph's sister in law yesterday and her mum who works at Pacific Radiology told her to tell me to get the extra scan done as they see women in there a lot more frequently than I go who just want the reassurance etc that things are going ok epsecially with a history like mine (or worse). So between moving on Friday and getting phone and power both reconnected, we now have a scan to go to at 2.45pm on the Friday. Might end up having to go by myself though as we need one of us at the house for when the phone/power guys turn up but will play that one by ear and see how we are going. So am looking forward to that and for the peace of mind I will have it will be well worth the water drinking etc...
But right - time I got moving, Steph has started stripping the spare bed and yelling things out at me... so best I get off my butt and go help him out. Catch ya all later.
